After being a leader in the Corporate Banking world for 8 years, Lori started her Real Estate practice. She is involved and volunteers on the Speakers Committee and the Souvenir Program Committee with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, the Houston Cattle Baron's Ball with the American Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Houston Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, and the Montgomery County Animal Shelter. As the past Chair in 2012 with the Houston Arthritis Walk, she raised over 100,000 for the Houston Arthritis Foundation and has served on the committee with the Montgomery County Food Bank for the Food for Life Gala.
Lori has lived in The Woodlands for 17 years with her husband, Steven, who has been her #1 fan since the beginning of her real estate career. They are proud parents to their three grown daughters and now grandparents to their first granddaughter. When not selling real estate, she enjoys traveling, cooking, playing golf, gardening, reading, taking their two cocker spaniels, Aspen and Hank on walks, and spending time with her friends and family.

And that is what I learned in the family and that is how I became a realtor. My formal education followed a path from Political Sciences to International Relations (BA) and then to Public Policy (MA). Early in my professional career, I got into marketing construction materials in international markets. I worked with clients across the world ranging from Taiwan to USA/CANADA, South Africa to Russia, Middle East to Mediterranean countries to Europe. In the meantime, my fortunes took me around. I lived in Sherborne, Oxford, Essex for a short time. I was in New York a couple of years. I enjoyed Iowa more than 20 years and Iowa is where I started real estate. I am a resident of Houston area since 2008 and practicing in The Woodlands, Klein, Spring, Conroe and the surrounding areas.
In this line of work, nothing beats seeing the happiness of the clients in buying their dream homes or selling their major investment in smooth transaction and knowing that I had a role in it. Katie Chachere Hester graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She also received a Graduate Certificate in Advanced International Affairs from the Bush School at Texas A&M University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from South Texas College of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude. Katie practiced real estate and finance law for approximately seven years with the law firm of Locke Lord, LLP. While at Locke Lord, Katie represented clients in the acquisition, disposition, and development of commercial real estate, including shopping centers, apartments, condominiums, office buildings, mixed use/urban developments, and retail and office leasing. She also represented borrowers and lenders in lending transactions. Katie also has experience with zoning and land use, community and economic development, affordable housing, and development of cellular tower sites, including issues involving the Federal Telecommunications Act of 1995. Katie spent approximately two years as the Assistant Vice President - Legal Counsel of Campus Living Villages – U.S., an international student accommodation provider, where she was responsible for all legal matters in the United States. Katie also served as a Director on the Board of CCHM Management Holding Corp., the parent company of Campus Living Villages – U.S. Katie recently joined The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center as a Legal Officer in the General Business and Education Section, with a focus on real estate matters. She is involved in numerous charitable organizations throughout Houston, and is also a member of C.R.E.W. (Commercial Real Estate Women).
