    I'm originally from Detroit, Michigan where I attended Wayne State University and began a career as a Detroit Police officer. I majored in music (love Motown) and played trumpet! I moved to Houston, Texas in 1980 where I joined the Houston Police Department attaining the rank of lieutenant before retiring in 2013 with 32 years of service.
