A Southern California native, Rene's long-standing career in the Oil & Gas Industry brought him and his family to Houston in 2018. After a 15-year career in Oil & Gas, holding leadership positions in Operations as well as Safety Management, and 10 years of Industrial Fire Fighting, Rene decided to retire and pursue his passion for serving others in what he knows best: Real Estate.

Having relocated with his wife of 13 years, and 2 young children, Rene personally understands the stresses that come along with relocating. Originally from the Midwest, Valerie grew up in N. Dallas (Richardson) and then attended The University of Texas at Austin. She moved with her family to Kingwood in 2005, where she concentrates her real estate practice. She's passionate about sharing the family-friendly neighborhood with clients, friends, and other agents. She knows the Kingwood real estate inventory like the back of her hand, and loves the people who make up the close-knit community. Also, having moved six times before she was in Middle School, so she knows firsthand what families and their children need while transitioning into a new neighborhood and school.

Valerie grew up in a real estate family. Her mother, Betty Misko, is a real estate executive in Dallas with over 40 years of experience. Growing up in a hard-working real estate family is one reason Valerie cites her mother as her personal and professional inspiration. Prior to becoming a residential sales Realtor, Valerie gained substantial business experience working in property management, marketing, copywriting, proofreading and project management. Her keen eye for detail has served her well in her real estate career.

When she isn't working, Valerie can be found at home in Kingwood, spending time with her family and friends.

Trevor E. Phillips, ASA, CRE, FRICS

Trevor Phillips has more than twenty-five years of real estate, construction and financial advisory experience counseling clients in the private and public sectors. His experience includes economic damage analysis for matters in litigation; real estate valuation; industry experience in civil engineering design and construction management in the United Kingdom and several Eastern Caribbean countries; and disaster recovery services, including business insurance and FEMA grant claims, for clients whose properties and operations are affected by accidents and natural disasters. Mr. Phillips has testified as a real estate damage expert at deposition and trial and has assisted clients at mediation proceedings.

Mr. Phillips specializes in real estate damage matters including disputes associated with sales, leases, land development and complex partnership agreements; construction defects; business insurance claims; and eminent domain matters. He has significant experience analyzing property value diminution claims in the context of environmental and toxic tort litigation. He has also developed and evaluated Value Assurance Programs; a proactive approach to resolving property value disputes.

Since 1999 Mr. Phillips has served the community as a Mayor-appointed volunteer member and former Chairman (2004-2006) of the City of Houston’s Land Redevelopment Committee (LRC). The LRC supports the City’s Brownfields Redevelopment Program through technical assistance, fund-raising and public education initiatives.
