I am a realtor for one reason. I want you to have a better experience than I had myself. So, when I found myself ready to retire from teaching, I took the plunge and went to school to become a real estate agent myself. Since then, I've been told time and again by clients and other agents, as well, that they appreciate my open and honest approach to real estate. Let me give you a little background. I was shaped as a child by divorce, a cross-country relocation, frequent moves, economic instability, and a difficult home life. I took a lot of that into my marriage, and ended up moving from job to job and rental home to rental home for an entire decade. Eventually maturity caught up with me (or I with it) and I settled down to become a pastor and a public school teacher. Now I am retired from both, but I continue to educate and serve; only now real estate is my subject and my clients are my flock. I currently work for Heart of Texas Real Estate and Management Company, an independent, full-service real estate brokerage located in Huntsville, Texas. I cannot tell you how excited I am to be working at an local office with a 35 year history. MICHELLE WHITECOTTON re-joined Markham Realty as a licensed REALTOR in October 2016. She worked for Markham Realty, as Office Manager, from 1992-1996 while attending Sam Houston State University. She and her husband Tim Whitecotton, Captain at the Walker County Sheriff's Department, have two grown children. Michelle has many years of experience working in Walker County including 15 years at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Michelle is the current President of The Tall Pines Association of REALTORS. Her designations include TRLP (Texas REALTORS Leadership Program), RENE (Real Estate Negotiation Expert), and Social Media Pro. She also has been involved in the rodeo industry for over 30 years. Robbi Flack Langley graduated from Texas Christian University in May of 2018 with a business degree in Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing. She has been with HomeLand Properties since the summer of 2018 as a full time sales associate. Since then, Robbi has assisted landowners in purchasing and selling over 15,000 acres of land across the greater East Texas area. She has a passion for timberland and the outdoors, and enjoys helping her clients tour land and purchase their own piece of East Texas. In addition to her expertise in the land market, Robbi enjoys renovating homes which has provided her with a knowledge of the inner workings of a home and allows her to better assist home buyers and sellers.
