I enlisted in the Coast Guard, and ultimately retired as a Commander. Twilight assignments included Executive Officer of Coast Guard Marine Safety Office, Galveston, TX, and Commanding Officer of Coast Guard Marine Safety Office Memphis, TN. As a Recruiter, I found myself selling a way of life, and observed people transcend one culture into another. As I rose up through the ranks, and was put in positions of making decisions that affected the lives of others, I became adept in care taking; the ability to make sound decisions taking into consideration a person's professional as well as personal life. I also became adept at tact & diplomacy in my role as a Federal Regulator working with the Maritime Industry. As a Realtor, I continue to employ the characteristics of care taking, tact and diplomacy in assisting my clients navigate the choppy waters known as the Real Estate Industry. Also during my Coast Guard career, I acquired exceptional skills in time management, detail orientation, responsibility and reliability. I consider myself the consummate professional. I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and a Master of Public Administration Degree, and life memberships in the National Naval Officer's Association, Disabled American Veterans and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
