A proud native Houstonian, I graduated from Alief Hastings High School in 1988 with honors, and then attended the University of Houston, where I earned a BA in history with a minor in corporate communications. During college I worked at Benjamin Franklin Federal in the Real Estate Division and then later with the RTC.

My first full time position was with First American Title in 1992, where I worked for 13 years. Starting in the marketing department, I setup large venue realtor training seminars and developed their first desktop publishing department. I then worked as the executive assistant to the Division President for several years before being promoted to Facilities Manager and becoming Assistant Vice President. I opened and relocated office operations of all sizes in Houston and throughout Texas – hiring and working with general contractors, architects, designers and furniture.

In 2005, First American Title decided to out-source facilities management, so I set up my company – Construction & Design, Inc – to meet their needs and I continue to service them as a client today. I started out primarily building out commercial new construction raw spaces, which led to commercial remodels and over the years progressed into residential projects as well. I built my first home for an artist in the Heights in 2007 and I completed a $1.7 million condo remodel project at the Woodway Place Atrium Condominiums in 2008. I love the diversity of the projects and making customer’s dreams become reality!

My satisfied customers kept asking me to help them buy or sell properties, so I obtained my real estate license in 2013 in order to provide a full range of services. I am now have my brokers license and have started my own brokerage company called Sticks & Bricks Realty. I look forward to working with you!

Discerning how many homes they have owned in the past serves a guideline for the language I use and how to explain contracts and the additional steps. Being a single, first-time homeowner myself, I can relate to my clients and show a strong sense of empathy. Open communication is foremost in the process of finding the right home. Listing your home with me you can expect honesty, transparency, attention to detail, strategic thinking, timelines, setting of expectations, and a clear goal. A seamless experience is created for my clients when selling or purchasing a home. Extremely organized, I am aware of what a major part preparation plays in the success of any deal brokered, and I am hands-on regarding every step of a transaction. I will not rest until I know my client is happy. That means they have all the information I can give them, I leave no room for unanswered questions, they understand the next steps and timelines, and I make sure they feel heard and valued. I am fighter! Previous professional experience includes education (pre-k and kindergarten art), search engine optimization, direct sales, event sales, and digital marketing account management.

I am proud to say I am a native Houstonian. I entered the real estate industry through mortgage while attending the University of Houston. After 23 years in mortgage, I obtained my real estate license in 2007. I became a real estate broker in 2010. I love to help and mentor other agents so I became an instructor in 2019 with the Texas Real Estate Commission. I earned my BS in Business Information Systems but chose to stay with what I enjoyed - Real Estate. With my many years in real estate sales, I offer strong customer service standards and I am a keen negotiator. Because my background also includes several years in the mortgage industry I understand all parts of a real estate transaction from contract to closing. My lifelong residence and love of Houston bring me a wealth of real estate knowledge to benefit my clients.
