George May has been a real estate agent/broker for almost three decades. He began his real estate career with Merrill Lynch Realty in Arlington, Virginia in 1987. In 1995, George moved back to Texas and joined Keller Williams Realty until starting his own brokerage in 2002. Using the slogan "George May, the Barristers Broker" his primary focus is serving the real estate needs of attorneys and their clients. George grew up in Rockwall, Texas. He graduated from Rockwall High School in 1980. He did most of his undergraduate work at the University of Texas, Austin, where he first met the smart, tall, red-headed girl from Houston who was to become his wife and senior partner in life. George received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Houston. In 1984, George moved to Amarillo, Texas after being hired to manage a successful congressional campaign. Afterwards, in 1985, George moved back to Austin, Texas to work as the Chief Legislative Aide to then newly elected State Representative John Willy, who later served as County Judge of Brazoria County, Texas. In May of 2002, George graduated magna cum laud from the University of Houston Law Center (UHLC). While in law school George served as Chief Articles Editor of the Houston Law Review, was Chief Baron of the Order of the Barons, a member of the Order of the Coif, the Order of the Barristers, and the UHLC moot court team. After law school, George served as a briefing attorney for the First Court of Appeals before joining Harrison Bettis Staff McFarland and Weems as an associate attorney. In 2008, George co-founded the law firm of Twomey May, PLLC.

A proud native Houstonian, I graduated from Alief Hastings High School in 1988 with honors, and then attended the University of Houston, where I earned a BA in history with a minor in corporate communications. During college I worked at Benjamin Franklin Federal in the Real Estate Division and then later with the RTC.
My first full time position was with First American Title in 1992, where I worked for 13 years. Starting in the marketing department, I setup large venue realtor training seminars and developed their first desktop publishing department. I then worked as the executive assistant to the Division President for several years before being promoted to Facilities Manager and becoming Assistant Vice President. I opened and relocated office operations of all sizes in Houston and throughout Texas – hiring and working with general contractors, architects, designers and furniture.
In 2005, First American Title decided to out-source facilities management, so I set up my company – Construction & Design, Inc – to meet their needs and I continue to service them as a client today. I started out primarily building out commercial new construction raw spaces, which led to commercial remodels and over the years progressed into residential projects as well. I built my first home for an artist in the Heights in 2007 and I completed a $1.7 million condo remodel project at the Woodway Place Atrium Condominiums in 2008. I love the diversity of the projects and making customer’s dreams become reality!
My satisfied customers kept asking me to help them buy or sell properties, so I obtained my real estate license in 2013 in order to provide a full range of services. I am now have my brokers license and have started my own brokerage company called Sticks & Bricks Realty. I look forward to working with you!
