Dorothy Newcomb grew up in a real estate family so she comes by her career talent naturally. Her parents were brokers and owned their own real estate investment company where she began to gain experience. Later, working for a home builder mortgage company, Dorothy learned the financial side of buying property which has been invaluable to her clients. Needless to say, real estate is in her blood.
She also has a keen understanding of the challenges when relocating – giving extra consideration to the needs of each client. Drawing from her own experience in multiple moves, Dorothy prioritizes what is most important by considering the unique situations of each individual or family.
One of eleven siblings, Dorothy has a well developed skill for communicating with others in a way that puts them at ease. Outgoing, compassionate and friendly, she is eager to meet new people and truly enjoys getting to know her clients. Dedicated to giving back to her community, Dorothy has been a child mentor through the Katy Independent School District, group blood drive coordinator, neighborhood and elementary volunteer, and is presently a volunteer for the Katy Prairie Conservancy and the Houston Arboretum. Being part of a book club, doing yoga, enjoying outdoor activities, the arts, movies, and socializing are some of her favorite pastimes. Most importantly she has three sons who she loves to spend time with whenever possible.
