Houston became Debra's home after moving from Louisville, Kentucky in 1980. She settled in the Deerfield Village community four years later where she has been ever since. Before real estate became her chosen profession, she fed her entrepreneurial spirit as owner/operator of a small retail business. No doubt this endeavor sharpened her ability to identify and successfully meet the needs of the people she serves, which is her expressed goal as a Realtor today.
Debra majored in business at Louisiana State University. Married to her high school sweetheart, she has two grown children and four grandchildren. She is active in her neighborhood HOA and gathers with a group of friends weekly to play Mah Jongg. One of Debra's proudest achievements in life to date is after receiving a cancer diagnosis in 2011, undergoing treatment and two stem cell transplants, she has been cancer free since 2014. Debra pledges to provide her clients that same positive "can-do" spirit.
As a third-generation Houstonian, Cynthia L. Smith takes pride in representing her Bayou City. Cindy's real estate career began in the 1970's when she worked for an attorney as manager for his mortgage company. She handled selling, leasing and renting the company's properties and conducted the closings. Cindy then spent the next two decades in her husband's oil and gas business as corporate secretary.
