She actually began "working" for her mom since she was 7, when she started doing bookkeeping, inputting listings in MLS, following her to appointments, and doing everything else she was allowed to do without a real estate license.

Julie earned a B.A. in Economics from Rice University, so she understands market trends and the math behind financing and property values. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Rice University Center for Career Development and has served on the Board for the Association of Rice Alumni. She is a native Houstonian, graduated from Second Baptist Upper School, and has known the city for decades. She danced 10 years with the Houston Ballet Academy and has won awards as a soprano classical singer. Philanthropy is very important to Julie; she and her husband especially love supporting charities that help animals and disabled children.
