Jamaica, WI is her my place of birth. She moved to the United States as a teenager and lived in Queens, New York for almost eight years. Health and the weather that was affecting her mother's everyday living, caused them to move to a warmer climate, Miami, Florida.
Employed in the airline industry in Miami, Florida in Office Administration, until a merger transferred her to Houston, Texas in the 1980's. When the airline downsized, she contracted to work for an Energy company in Customer Service. Later, she moved to retail which she enjoyed, until her resignation to return to Miami, Florida to care for her elderly parent again due to frail health.
As a caregiver she encountered many challenges dealing with Real Estate, and after the positive outcome that allowed her elderly parent to live out her life in her home, the experience demonstrated where her passion should be invested and served. Before her death, as her caregiver, she overcame enormous challenges to grant her wish to die in her home that she had lived in since moving from New York. Also, all the friends and church community that she was a part of during her life. When a critical legal issue related to her continuing to live at home instead of a nursing home developed, she had to step up, face her fear of the legal ramifications, and take full control of all the legal issues related to her home. Successfully, through prayers, research, data gathering, title/deed correction, she successfully closed all the legal battles, and allowed her mom to die with dignity in her home by the grace of God.
She returned to school and finished her college degree at Barry University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
She enrolled in Real Estate school and earned her license, as she realized real estate was a career, she wanted to be a part of the industry to help people realize their dreams, even with challenges before success. Thankfully, the instructor reiterated it was not an easy industry, but success happens if you are willing to work hard. Assisting co-workers as well as other clients to attain their dream of homeownership provided a sense of success and pride as their transactions closed. The happiness seen on their faces was like winning The Lottery.

Hi, I'm Brit! I'm part of the Lemon Grove Realty Group, collaborating with two fellow moms. Together, we form a dynamic team deeply rooted in our community. My passion for real estate goes hand in hand with our way of life, which revolves around giving back and supporting our neighbors in every possible way. My journey to the world of real estate may seem unconventional. Originally from Pennsylvania, I moved to Houston after earning a degree in Psychology, specializing in child development from Penn State University. While my previous work with children in the foster care system and individuals with neurological disorders may not seem directly related, the skills and empathy I gained serve me well in my current profession. Now in my fourth year in real estate, I've found my passion for serving in this field, particularly in affordable housing and education. I'm genuinely enthusiastic about learning something new every day. In this ever-evolving field, knowledge is power, and I'm committed to staying at the forefront of industry trends and market dynamics to better serve in these critical areas. Outside my job, I'm fortunate to participate in my community through various meaningful endeavors. I've had the privilege of founding a non-profit called Gals Who Give, dedicated to supporting other non-profits in Harris County. Additionally, I've been part of a collective effort to establish a neighborhood non-profit focused on revitalizing and improving two local parks. I also serve as the PTO president at my daughter's school, where I aim to contribute positively to the educational experience of all students and staff. Beyond these roles, I take pride in being a vigilant neighbor, always ready to lend a helping hand. I strongly believe in the power of connection and the potential for collective impact on the lives of our community members.
