A native of the Bayou City, Oscar Hernandez graduated from prestigious Rice University. Being a native has given Oscar knowledge of many of Houston's diverse communities and coupled with his background in the financial markets made him a natural for the world of real estate.

He earned a dual BA degree in Economics and Managerial Studies from Rice University in the early 1990’s.
