My journey to becoming a real estate professional started with a very unique and unconventional path. After spending 8 years in the Army I was unsure of what my career would look like moving forward so I started volunteering with Habitat for Humanity building houses. I felt this was a great way to start because it put me with a team, I was learning a trade, and I was helping people. After the first house we built I attended the homeowner ceremony and saw the enjoyment of a family getting a brand new home! This sparked a desire in me establish some type career that revolved around houses and helping people. My passion grew and I found myself purchasing a commercial property and a realization came to me that I had no formal training but my aptitude in the real estate industry made me really great at what I do. He is a graduate of the University of Saint Thomas in the Montrose area, receiving a Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science, Masters of Liberal Arts in Communications, and a Masters of Business Administration. During his time at UST, he came to know the city and always endeavored to keep up with the constant changes affecting the city and real estate market, therein.
Before the move to the Houston area, his family lived in various countries overseas, which has offered Matthew an extensive experience working with a diverse clientele and networking base. He relates, "I love the diversity of the Houston area and pride myself on the diversity of my friend group and networking base.
