She attended Texas Christian University where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. Many of her favorite travel destinations are right in her backyard. She also loves visiting Telluride, Silverton, and her hometown of Durango, Colorado. She has traveled throughout Europe and spent a glorious honeymoon in Moorea, an island off Tahiti.
