After earning my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Houston – Clear Lake, I worked as a Computer Programmer and then a Technical Manager for a private University in Houston for almost 15 years. In 2013, I obtained my Real Estate license and thought I would continue with my career in IT and work in Real Estate part time. After my first transaction, I realized my passion for Real Estate and quit my IT job and became a full-time Realtor. In my first full year, I was awarded the Rookie of the Year award. My experience in IT has helped me to create my own systems to stay on top of every transaction and be the tech-savvy agent that is so helpful when it comes to marketing your home for sale or finding you the home of your dreams.

As a full-time Realtor since 2013, working with both buyers and sellers in the residential market, my first priority is to make my clients happy. I listen to each client's wants and needs to achieve the best outcome in every transaction and I strive to ensure that the home buying or selling process is fun, easy and stress-free. I bring to every transaction excellent customer service and a commitment to work hard and follow through. I provide quality service to build a relationship with clients and, more importantly, to maintain those relationships long term by communicating effectively. A native Texan, raised in the Crystal Beach/Galveston area and a resident of the Houston area since 1991, I have lived in several suburbs of Houston, including Dickinson, Webster, Deer Park, La Porte, Beach City and currently Pearland. I work in all areas of Houston. My business is based mostly on referrals from satisfied clients. I work hard to earn my clients' trust, referrals and repeat business. My clients appreciate my flexibility, low pressure sales, patience, ability to listen and hear what they want, negotiation and analytical skills and my ability to accurately price and market a home. Roy LeMelle graduated from Yates High School, attended Texas Southern, until he went into the Air Force. He is a Veteran. He retired from the Department of Defense, Vandenberg Air Force Base. He relocated to Southern California and obtained his real estate license and also passed the USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice). Roy LeMelle also did property management in Southern California. He eventually returned to Houston and obtained his real estate license in Texas.

Shortly after receiving my degree in Process Technology and working in the field for a few years I realized that I had focused on the wrong things. Money was the driving factor for choosing my career and it is one of the mistakes I'm most grateful for. After reflecting on what I could do to change my career I reminisced to a time where I was truly happy at a job. That's when sales came to mind, I remember how I enjoyed interacting with people, studying their body language, and the science of communicating. I worked at home depot for 6+ years on the sales floor in both flooring and garden, and what I enjoyed most was the feeling of accomplishment whenever I would complete a sale and give the customer great service. This is more than a career to me, it's my thing, that's a language only a few understand. I always told those who questioned my transition between careers that I just want a career that would make me excited to wake up on a Monday morning. I'm so excited I started a career in Real Estate because it has given me the freedom to make my own choices and the opportunity to be happy.
