Passion – What is it & where does it come from? Passion is such a strong word that it makes you stop and think when you hear it. Everyone is passionate about something; even if it’s just being passionate about sitting right here on the couch with absolute silence for just five minutes. Don’t believe me? Just wait and see how the mom reacts when she has declared this passion and one minute and 22 seconds in hears the pitter patter of little feet yelling “mom! Sarah’s touching me.” That mom’s passion about her 5 minutes of silence is going to be reiterated with certainty! Dictionary.com defines Passion as “any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate.” For me life is full of passion, I am very passionate about my amazing husband of nearly 14 years, our four adorable children that have been entrusted to us, and my career selling Real Estate in Houston and surrounding areas of Texas. I am passionate about my family’s ministry in Family and Finance as we teach ourselves and others to “Live like no one else, so one day we can live like no one else” – (Thanks Dave Ramsey!). My husband Robert and I are passionate about helping other young couples overcome common modern struggles in relationship along with fertility and adoption issues. And in my career I am passionate about helping individuals and families find just the right piece of real estate for them by determining their own household desires and financial limits. Now that you know a little bit about me and my passions what are your passions? It’s so easy for us to get lost in what our passions “should be” that we forget or simply don’t define our own passion. So this is my challenge for you today. Get out a piece of paper, or open a blank note page on your PC/ tablet and write down just 3 things your passionate about. Over the next few days make it your mission to find 3 people to tell what you have written down. The task of writing it down and talking about it will help you better shape and define what you want to do with it! I can’t wait to hear what your passions are.
