Prior to Martha Jefferies’ real estate career, the Bay Area-native spent 16 years in one of the mainstays of the Houston economy: the chemical industry. Martha was an industry trainer and taught relationship building to employees across the United States. Her curriculum included developing superior communication skills, conflict resolution tools, and behavior-based safety techniques.
As a Realtor, Martha’s professional expertise and fluent Spanish are invaluable when communicating with her wide-range of clients, identifying their needs, and resolving issues that crop up in the course of their transactions. “I love the challenge of helping people realize the American dream – home ownership. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with past and present clients is my ultimate goal,” says Martha. “I want my clients to remember their real estate experience in a positive light.”
Martha has a knack for “getting people talking,” and is an excellent listener. She delights in engaging clients in “down to earth” conversations that are long-lasting and meaningful. Martha believes in continuing education and has earned a number of professional accreditations including Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI) and Texas Affordable Housing Specialist (TAHS) designations, and Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) certification.
As a believer in giving back to her community, Martha volunteers for various organizations in the Bay Area. Her time-off is spent working out at the South Shore Fitness Center, boating and skiing on Clear Lake, and attending music concerts on the weekends. She is the mother of two adult sons; one is a professional firefighter and the other an attorney.
