Trends that Sell

When preparing your home for the market, you may think you need renovations when in reality you may only need some updates. If you’ve been maintaining your home all along, you are ahead of the game. A recent roof, or new HVAC are high ticket items that will put buyers at ease, but if you want to hook ‘em, you need good eye candy. That’s where I can help.

Maria Branco of Branco Design and Boulevard’s ReDesign team recently met with us to talk about trends in interior design. I love hearing what she has to say, and then communicating those trends to my seller clients to help them sell their home quicker and at a better price.

Here are Maria’s top 10 signs your home may need an update before it’s listed for sale. Also included are some before and after pictures.

The truth is, most buyers may watch Fixer Upper but don’t have the time or vision to tackle a fixer upper. The homes that sell the quickest are well maintained and have a clean, clutter-free, up-to-date look.

One of the benefits of allowing me to list your home is a free consultation where our designer shares with you the trends that sell and how you can incorporate those into your property. I’ll get quotes and then run the numbers to show you what’s feasible relative to properly pricing the home for your market.
