HOUSTON ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® CREATES EASY BLOGGING PLATFORM FOR ITS MEMBERSHIP
HAR Member Blogs is the association’s latest free tool to establish REALTORS® as industry thought leaders and facilitate consumer interaction
HOUSTON — (June 1, 2009) — From political commentary to consumer advice, the Blogosphere is booming, and the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR) wants its more than 23,000 members to take advantage of blogs to promote the real estate industry and their businesses while enjoying another means of interacting with consumers and fellow REALTORS®. So HAR has launched Member Blogs, its newest free tool for members aimed at establishing the REALTOR’S® market expertise, cultivating customer relationships and maximizing member visibility on the Web.
“With this new HAR tool, members can choose from a list of categories to describe their blog or their blog post,” said George Stephens, 2009 HAR Technology Advisory Group chairman. “Selecting different categories helps us more effectively promote the blogs in the HAR Blog Directory to the consumer. When creating a blog or posting an external blog, members can select up to three different categories.”
HAR members who already have a blog hosted on another Web site can easily have HAR.com promote it. The HAR technology team has developed an online directory to make it easy for REALTORS® and consumers to browse Houston real estate blogs.
Member Blogs is the latest in a series of innovative free tools that HAR has introduced this year as a membership value. Among the others are Member Videos, Member Web Sites and the 713-REALTOR system, which facilitates consumer access to property listing information while generating leads for REALTORS®.
