Political Affairs Advisory Group Conducts Nov. 7 General Election Business
The PAAG met on August 9 to interview Congressional District 22 Democratic candidate Nick Lampson who had asked to meet with HAR's political leadership.

The PAAG made a motion to recommend to its members HAR and TREPAC support for Democratic candidate Borris Miles in the House District 146 election. Borris Miles beat incumbent State Representative Al Edwards in the runoff election. There is a Libertarian candidate, Gerald W. “Jerry” LaFleur.

The PAAG made a motion to support Harris County District Clerk Charles Bacarisse for re-election. The recommendation does not include TREPAC support.

Governmental Affairs Advisory Group
Since the beginning of the year, Houston City Councilman Adrian Garcia has sought HAR’s input in updating this Graffiti Ordinance. Here are the links to the most recent version of the Graffiti Ordinance: http://edocs.har.com/govtaffairs/GRAFFIT3.PDF and http://edocs.har.com/govtaffairs/RCAGRAF.pdf. Councilman Garcia is again asking for HAR’s comments and endorsement of the revised Graffiti Ordinance, so please let me hear your comments at the August 14 Board of Directors meeting.
