Q1. How long is new member orientation?
Orientation is 3.5 hours. At the main office it is scheduled from 8:30 to 12:00pm or 12:30pm to 4:00pm. Submitted by Louis Galindo
   
 
Q2. Do I "have" to join HAR? My broker told me I "had" to join.
No, no one is obligated to join.Your broker will be billed based on the # of licensees he is sponsoring. Therefore; brokers can make it their office policy that if they sponsor an agent they have to comply with broker's office rules (policies).
   
 
Q3. Can I join MLS and get a Supra Key without joining HAR?
You must be a member of a Local Texas Association of Realtors before you can participate on any Board's/Association's MLS. Obtaining a Supra Key is a benefit of an MLS member.
   
 
Q4. What are the costs of joining HAR?
Texas Real Estate Licensed Salesperson/Broker: Salesperson: Is your broker a member of HAR? If yes, quote dues information: Application fee: $100.00. Dues: $308.00 based on a calendar year or quote the monthly prorated amount. If we are in a current "Unreported Licensee" billing,it is extremely important for us to ask for their name to check our system to quote correct amount of dues. Orientation: $25.00 Deposit fee. Refundable after Orientation is completed. BROKER: Application fee: $150.00 Dues: $308.00 calendar year basis or Pro-rated monthly amount. "Mandatory" Orientation: $25.00 Deposit. Refundable after Orientation is completed.
   
 
Q5. If I join HAR, does this mean I have access to MLS?
No, after you join HAR you may also join MLS.
   
 
Q6. What do I have to do to join MLS?
Salesperson (Agent): Fill out a HRIS (MLS) Subscriber application, which must be signed by the broker of the company. Submit with payment - check fee schedule for current amount. Broker of Company: Fill out a HRIS (MLS) Participant Subscriber application. Submit with payment Check fee schedule for current amount.
   
 
Q7. How long will it take before I can access MLS - Tempo after I join?
At least 24hrs
   
 
Q8. How do I log on to MLS?
log on to www.har.com and type your public and private id.
   
 
Q9. I cannot log on, what is wrong with your system?
Check their name in rapattoni and verify their status along with their public & private id. If all is correct, then we can log on to tempo using their id's, if we are able to log on to Tempo successfully with their id's, then we tell them that and if they are still not able to log on we can either ask them about their setup, if everything is correct and ok with us, then we refer them to Tempo Techical Support phone number: 1-877-805-7301.
   
 
Q10. I did not receive my invoice for dues renewal in the mail, do I still have to pay them?
Yes, dues are renewable every January 1st. Invoices are now sent via email. Please log on to www.har.com/dues to pay your dues online by credit card or telecheck.
   
 
Q11. I did not make a sale this year and cannot pay my dues nor MLS fees, can I still have access?
Unfortunately, we would not be able to provide service.
   
 
Q12. I forgot to place my key on my cradle and now I am out on the field and my key will not work.
Please always place your key on your cradle otherwise it will eventually corrupt. You may follow my directions while we update your key manually. I will give you two codes.
   
 
Q13. I lost my key and I do not know if I have insurance.
I will research to verify if you have insurance, if you do, then you just need to come in and we will provide you with another key. If you do not have insurance, you will pay an amount of $150.00 for replacement.
   
 
Q14. How much is the insurance fee for a Supra Key?
$25.00 per calendar year.
   
 
Q15. When and how do I renew my Supra key payment?
Supra will send you an invoice, your renewal is due every January. If you do not receive a bill please contact the Supra Accounting Department: 1-800-545-9601.
   
 
Q16. I have never received a membership card, how can I receive one?
(usually they have lost their original one and the claim they "never" received one) The only time they actually need their card is to attend "Networking Meetings". The cost for a replacement card is $10.00. Please contact Yolanda ext. 241 to request a card.
   
 
Q17. How do I change the credit card information on file to pay for MLS quarterly fees?
We can either fax or email you a form called 'Exhibit C' to fill out and submit back to us with the new information.
   
 
Q18. My agent will no longer be sponsored by me, what do I need to do to notify HAR?
All we need is a termination letter signed by the broker or just any letter as long as it is submitted in writing. We also need to alert the broker terminating this agent that he/she must return this license to TREC to relieve broker of responsiblity for this agent and to terminate sponsorship.
   
 
Q19. I have a new agent, do I just send him to HAR to join?
No, please have agent bring applications filled out and signed by broker of company.
   
 
Q20. I do not remember my private id, can you please give it to me?
No, for security reasons.You may either come personally to HAR and show your valid id (TDL) or we can give you up to three guesses, like: quote last four digits of your SS# or a birthdate, etc.
   
 
Q21. I will not be renewing my HAR membership next year, can I just let it lapse?
No, you must submit a resignation letter, otherwise your membership will be terminated in termination standing. If you want to resign in good standing, please submit a letter and if you are an agent please make sure your license has been sent back to TREC before the end of the calendar year to prevent your broker from being billed for your dues for the following year.
   
 
Q22. I need a Supra Key, but I do not hold a TREC license. I am an Inspector, can I get a Key?
Yes. You must join as an Affiliate first and then apply for a key.(Inspectors are the ONLY non-real estate licensed individuals you may get a key as long as they are Affiliate members of HAR.
   
 
Q23. I received a MLS fine. I do not know why. We were not told what we could or could not do.
MLS Rules and Regulations are listed online, you may review them thru www.har.com under - Realtor Tools and then MLS. "We can help them by checking rapattoni to see the MLS # and going to tempo (or other) to see their violation.
   
 
Q24. How long do I have to make MLS corrections?
4 working days.
   
 
Q25. Do I still have to pay the fine?
Yes, if you want to dispute the fine, you may by submit your request in writing (afer correction has been made to the listing) within 5 days of invoice date to the Quality Assurance Department.
   
 
Q26. Where can I get an application?
Applications can be faxed over, emailed or you can log on to www.har.com Click on HAR Realtors, then to the left under Realtor Tools click Inside HAR. Next click on Documents on Demand.
   
 
Q27. How do I know when my license is active?
You can wait until you or your Broker received the actual license in the mail or you can access www.trec.state.tx.us and perform a license search. Your name, license number, expiration date and status will appear
   
 
Q28. How do I transfer my license from one Broker to another?
You will need to transfer your actual license first by filing out a TREC Transfer form and attaching $20.00. For HAR you will need to submit a Transfer Form and $25.00 if you are not a member of HAR , then $10.00 only a MLS member. Transfer Forms need to be sign by the new Broker and can be obtained from HAR Realtors, Inside HAR, Documents on demand
   
 
Q29. How do I update my personal information?
You are welcome to fax it in to Member Services at 713-629-8878 or you can email it to anyone of the representatives. Also you can log on to your account manager located at www.har.com/dues and click on personal information.
   
 
Q30. What methods of payments are accepted?
HAR accepts the following: Cash, Check, Money Order, Credit Cards. MLS accepts the following: Check, Money Order, Credit Cards.SUPRA accepts the following: Cash, Check, Money Order. Credit Cards. (Note: HAR, MLS and SUPRA doesn’t take Discover)
   
 
Q31. What is required on a Transfer of Listing?
The Home Owner, Previous Broker and New Broker signature.
   
 
Q32. How do I email listings?
To email listings you must have an email address registered with MLS. To register your email address you can email it to one of the Member Services Representatives or you can go online to
   
 
Q33. How do I get photos with my listings?
You may upload your own photos into TEMPO or you can order photos to be taken of the property. Remember that photos must be in JPEG format. Or you can order pictures from Texas MLS Photos.
   
 
Q34. How can I pay my fees online?
The only fees that can be paid online are your annual membership dues and the quarterly MLS. (SUPRA renewal fees are not accepted online)To make your payment online you can access www.HAR.com and click the link that say, “Having Problems Logging In? Click Here.”You can log on into www.HAR.com and click on the your Account Manager.Or you can go straight to www.HAR.com/dues which is the same thing as the Account Manager.
   
 
Q35. How do I download forms off of HAR?
Log on to www.har.com and click on the HAR Form Manager.
   
 
Q36. How do I pay my SUPRA bill?
HAR is not responsible for the renewal of the SUPRA key. The payment is made to SUPRA Products. The SUPRA bill should be mailed back with the insert. There is no online payment but you can pay by credit card over the phone.
   
 
Q37. Can I use MLS before taking Orientation?
Yes, you can use MLS before taking Orientation, but it is mandatory that you do take this class. You have 60 days to complete Orientation or you will be terminated with no refund.
   
 
Q38. How do I get my Orientation refund?
Everyone who signs in to show that they were there will be issued a check back.
   
 
Q39. How do I sign up for MLS classes and is there a fee?
To sign up for classes you must log on to www.HAR.com and search through the Educational Yellow Pages for the closes location and next available date. MLS classes are free with a $25.00 deposit. Also, there’s online training.
   
 
Q40. How do I reschedule Orientation?
Please contact the Education Department for rescheduling.
   
 
Q41. How do I change my Public ID?
There’s a $35.00 to change your Public ID. If your last name has changed due to marriage then it is no charge.
   
 
Q42. When can I reinstate?
If you have paid dues within the last two years then you can reinstate your HAR Membership for $25.00, but if it has been longer than 2 years the application fees apply again. ($150.00 Broker, $100.00 Agent)
   
 
Q43. Why did my Broker receive a bill on behalf of my membership? (UL – Unreported Licensee)
TAR records indicate that your Broker or Broker Associate has been sponsoring your license for more than 30 days and you have not joined an Association neither has your broker sent your license back to TREC. Either the broker can pay the bill and send your license back, but this does not make you are member. Or you can join, but the fee to join will be $20.00 more than what your Broker was invoiced,$100.00 application fee and $25.00 Orientation deposit. To dispute this bill please provide a letter from TREC that states that you did not sponsor the license for 30 day.
   
 
Q44. How long do I have to join HAR?
You have 30 days from the time your Broker sponsors your license.
   
 
Q45. What is a Non Licensee Staff ID?
If there is someone that does not have a active real estate license we can give them a public and private ID which will let them gain access to MLS for free.
   
 
Q46. How many offices can a Broker have?
As many as you would like. Please note that you will have to pay $303.10 by bill or $292.28 by debit for each office.
   
 
Q47. How do I return an agents license?
Mail their license back to TREC and fax HAR a termination letter.
   
 
Q48. When do I return my key?
If you are no longer going to use the key please return it.Take note that there’s no refund for the key and every time you return it and then need it back there is a $50.00 issuance fee.
