CRIME ALERT - BURGLARY

A residence in the 3600 block of Chevy Chase was burglarized on Thursday, March 11th at approximately 8:30pm. The suspect(s) gained entry to the residence by forcing open a French door at the rear of the residence. The residents were not at home at the time of the burglary and the alarm system was activated. Responding River Oaks and Houston Police units arrived within two minutes of dispatch but the suspect(s) were gone. Property from the residence was located scattered across the front yard and was subsequently recovered. There is currently no suspect(s) description available.

Spring Break is once again upon us. Residents are encouraged to place their homes on House Check when vacationing. The resident in this case was out of town and the daily newspapers were laying on the front porch, clearly visible from the street. To request a House Check, please notify the River Oaks Patrol.
